Fun hair colors like pink, blue, purple, green and gray are extremely popular right now. I am really loving this hair trend and decided to put some pink into my hair, a dusty rose to be exact.

Are you thinking of putting some fun hair colors in your hair? I recommend reviewing your unique coloring before checking out fun hair colors that are available or ones others have chosen. Put aside for now the hair color swatch books, internet searches and pictures of celebrities and instead analyze your skin’s undertone, color values and intensities that work best with you. By doing so, you will ensure the hair color you ultimately select does not overpower you and wash you out.

In the video above, I share with you how to use the steps of color analysis and your seasonal color palette to help guide you on fun hair colors that will make you appear vibrant and make your eyes sparkle. Katie Fontana of Studio Fontana in downtown Toronto, Canada also joins me in this video to share with you my going pink process.

Why did I choose a dusty rose pink? Because I am a True Summer — cool undertone, soft intensity and higher value colors match my coloring.

I hope this blog post inspires you to wear your authenticity!
